A person has died and two others have been injured after a car was split in two and burst into flames in a violent crash with a pole in Melbourne’s south-east early this morning.
A man believed to be in his 20s was found injured at the scene, and another man who fled was found seriously injured in the front yard of a nearby home.
Detectives are following up reports the vehicle was travelling at speed before the crash.
